Postman Too Scared to Deliver Mail After Cat Attack!

Three-year-old Snowball is only 10 inches tall but she has shocked her owner Mr. Ian Wilkinson after he received a letter from the Royal Mail in the UK informing him that his beloved kitty was a ‘health and safety risk’ after a postman’s finger was scratched while putting mail through the letterbox!

Snowball is described as  ‘harmless and playful’ by her owner but the postman feels she poses an ‘unacceptably high level of risk’ and after suffering a cut to his finger it has been decided delivering mail to Mr. Wilkinson is just too dangerous. Deliveries have been suspended until Mr. Wilkinson finds a way to stop Snowball from attacking the postman.

Mr Wilkinson  said: ‘It’s utterly ridiculous. Everyone at work thinks it is hilarious – they have started calling her Ninja Cat.’

He also stated… ‘Although I acknowledge that my cat is a very intelligent animal, she is not able to lift up a spring loaded flap, keep it open, push her paw through a double brush guard and maul an unsuspecting delivery person in the time it take to delivery of the letter.’

Mr Wilkinson has now put a cage around the letterbox and hopes this will be enough for Royal Mail to resume its service.

Lilies Can Kill Your Kitties… BEWARE

Lilies are becoming more common as Spring approaches but unfortunately, several types of lilies can be deadly to cats. Easter lily, tiger lily, rubrum lily, Japanese show lily, some species of day lily, and certain other members of the Liliaceae family can cause kidney failure in cats.

Within only a few hours of ingestion of the lily plant material, the cat may vomit, become lethargic, or develop a lack of appetite. These signs continue and worsen as kidney damage progresses. Without prompt and proper treatment by a veterinarian, the cat may develop kidney failure in approximately 36-72 hours.

All parts of the lily plant are considered toxic to cats and consuming even small amounts can cause severe poisoning.

Missing Cat Going Home after 15 Years!

In southern Germany a ginger cat named Poldi was found in the woods about 19 miles from the city of Munich. She has been missing since 1996. She was identified by a number tattoo on her ear.

Poldi was found sitting on a log near the forest village of Aying and taken in by a young boy named Kilian Schoettel. Once the family discovered the cat’s tattoo they took him into the animal shelter to see if he could be identified. Luckily they were able to find records of this cat being missing and track down the owner!

Poldi’s owner was shocked the kitty was still alive.

Cat Breeder Performs Emergency C-Section for Ragdoll Kittens

Shelley Hayward in Australia was playing with her pregnant Ragdoll cat Ruby when all of the sudden Ruby had a fit. Ms Hayward performed mouth to mouth and tried her best but Ruby passed.

The kittens were moving around inside of her and since Ms Hayward lived too from from the vet she took action into her own hands. Thankfully she grew up on a farm and had a cat breeder’s delivery kit stored. Working as quickly as possible she managed to get all six kittens out alive. Sadly, two died days later.

“I look at them every single day and can’t believe it … they must be such little fighters,” she said.

Cat Rescued from 50 Foot High Tree!

In Cashville, VA… Robert Misuna came to a kitty’s rescue on Monday. He has been in the tree care business for a decade and has rescued a half-dozen cats and one parrot from trees.

“This is just something we do — we don’t charge,” Misuna said, adding, “I’m the only certified arborist and I guess we’re the only cat rescuers” on Virginia’s Eastern Shore.

Well thanks Robert!

Cat Trapped in Car Engine for a WEEK is Reunited with Owner

Amazingly, the car, belonging to a neighbor’s daughter, had been driven on two journeys totaling 20 miles in that time.

Mr Phoenix of Harberton, Devon, said his cat Draco was missing for an entire week. He ran off after being chased by a dog.  He almost gave up hope but then his cat turned up under the hood of his neighbors car!

The car had been parked outside for a week and driven on two occasions. They had to remove part of the engine to get Draco out. He was very thin, hungry and had a swollen paw but after a check up at the vet he is home and being pampered.
